Tesco and other major supermarkets are beginning to announce their dates for Christmas delivery slots.
Christmas might still be a couple of months away, but now is a good time to start planning – especially if you want to skip the Christmas queues and last minute dashes to the supermarket for stuffing and parsnips.
If you’re planning to have your turkey delivered to your doorstep this year, now’s a good time to start planning your big Christmas shop – starting by noting down when your supermarket of choice opens for a Christmas delivery slot.
Delivery slots are first come first served and it can be easy to miss your chance it you’re not prepared.
In 2022, Christmas early birds crashed the Tesco website when some 300,000 customers tried to book their delivery slot on the day bookings opened.
So, make sure to jot the following dates in your calendar – and we’ll update this article when more dates are announced.
Tesco Christmas delivery slots
Similarly, Tesco Anytime Delivery Savers will get early access to its Christmas delivery slots on Tuesday, November 7 at 6am.
Those after pay-as-you-go, off-peak delivery slots with Tesco can secure them as of Tuesday, November 21 at 6am.
Morrisons Christmas delivery slots
Morrisons delivery pass customers will be able to book their delivery slots for the festive season on Wednesday, October 18.
If you’re just a regular Morrisons shopper, then it’s believed you’ll have your opportunity to snag a slot in late October.
Asda Christmas delivery slots
Asda Delivery Pass customers can already access Christmas delivery slots, as they went live on Tuesday, October 3.
The date for other Asda shoppers was Tuesday, October 10 – with slots being bookable via the Asda website or Asda app.
Previously, it was estimated that Asda would open its Delivery Pass booking system on Tuesday, October 17 – and then general bookings on Wednesday, October 25.
Aldi Christmas slots
Right now, we don’t have Aldi’s Christmas dates just yet, and the website advises to check back later on for updates.
However, last year in 2022 the supermarket opened bookings on November 18. This year in 2023, November 18 falls on a Saturday.
Sainsbury’s Christmas delivery slots
Is a Sainsbury’s Christmas delivery slot what you need? Then keep your eyes peeled for updates this month, as it’s estimated Sainsbury’s will open bookings on Monday, October 23.
Waitrose Christmas delivery slot
If you’re aiming for a Waitrose Christmas food shop, then it appears that you’re able to book a delivery slot now.
Head to the Waitrose website to find out more – and act fast, as the site warns they usually disappear rather quickly.
Marks and Spencer Christmas food to order slots
Those after some Marks and Sparks festive treats can already go online to book a ‘food to order’ slot between Friday, December 22 and Sunday, December 24, which you’ll go to collect yourself in-store.
