Lecture: Joseph Warren Revere presented by William R Chemerka

On Sunday, May 20 from 1 to 3 P.M., meet noted author, educator and historian Mr. William R. Chemerka, who will portray General Joseph Warren Revere, grandson of Paul Revere. The General purchased 88 acres in Morris Township in 1852 and built the Gothic Revival-style house, The Willows, to overlook his farm. He will give a first person account of the far-flung adventures of Joseph Revere. Including encounters with pirates and slave trader, service in the Mexican War, rescues at sea, a meeting with Tsar Nicolas of Russia, business deals during the California Gold Rush and his service in the Civil War. Refreshment at the lecture in the Visitor Center followed by a tour of The Willows, where you can speak informally with Mr. Chemerka. Fee $10.00, prepayment is required by May 13. SPACE IS LIMITED.
